Rabbit, rabbit! Apparently if you say these words first thing when you wake up on the first of the month you will have good luck. The tradition started in the early 1900s in the US and Britain, though the origin is uncertain. Some variations include saying it 3 times or saying white rabbit!

Rabbits and hares look very similar, though hares are generally larger with longer legs and ears. A major difference is their babies.
