This goes for GL too - I’m really adoring the amount of activism and humanity (I hope that makes sense) that have been woven into characters and stories. They feel so genuine and complicated. And seeing people tell their stories or the stories of others through the lives of their characters.

Technically started 2 or so years ago when I learned it was still going - FAKE by Sanami Matoh. Vol 1 came out the year I turned 15. Seeing the word “bisexual” on a page and seeing someone like me hit me like a ton of bricks. Sexual identity has only been handled with love as the story continues.
