Maduro is a dictator who has abused Venezuelans. And Trump is once again attacking people in his endless quest to empower himself and the billionaires who bought him. The Brave of US must stand in solidarity across borders to fight for our freedoms, our families and our futures.

Incidentally, as far as messaging and strategy, pretty much anytime we test a process argument (i.e. they didn't follow the rules) it is less convincing & far less galvanizing than outcome argument (i.e. it's going to result in this fucked up evil) with voters. Yes, swing voters too.

Whether you're in Chicago or Caracas or Kyiv, people should have freedom from military invasion whether the aggressor is foreign or domestic. But once again this regime is destroying lives to seize more power & hand more money to its billionaire backers.

Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.

There is only one motive: to seize more money. There is only one pathway: to destroy the lives of anyone standing in the way. There is only one narrative: shame & blame some "other" to keep people from joining together & taking on the billionaires.

The corollary to "Nothing is a distraction" is that you can work on any important part of the problem productively. Find what motivates you, build broad community, stay engaged for the long term.

This. I've never liked the whole "distraction" concept. We can do more than one thing at a time. Our attention spans aren't as short as Trump's/a gnat's.
