Don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but as a huge fan of @annleckie.com 's books - I tried to re-read Ancillary Justice on my kindle the other day to realise it was gone from account and amazon wanted to recharge me to access it. As a big Radch nerd I knew I owned them -

after accessing 4 levels of Amazon customer service I spoke to a lovely person who could actually look at my account and said “oh yeah this has actually happened to at least nine of your books actually, that’s on us and we’ll restore them for you” Why did that take 4 people! (One was an AI bot)
