Some of us have been pointing out this trend this for a while. Dems need to spend the next decade building brand loyalty at the local level in rural America or they are done in the Senate in all but the biggest D wave years. So far DNC leaders have no strategy to accomplish this

We’re launching a new DNC War Room. We are going to compete in every information space and put Trump and the Republicans on the defense every day. At this very moment, Trump is actively wrecking our country. He can’t go unchallenged.

I'm serious about pushing Republicans on impeachment this week. Think about it. There will never be a better chance. Rich people losing their wealth is the *only* thing that can move the needle on this. Not fascism, not racism, not the destruction of public health. This is it.

3 million people in the streets and NYT relegated it to page 18 - it doesn't mean protest is futile, it means that the NYT editorial stance is acquiescence at best. And that's 3 million people who'll see that for themselves. The collision of their experience vs its portrayal.

every community that held a

rally should start a blog blog. it’s the antithesis to apathy and performative politics, and it’s hilariously funny. we have a good time and we get results: we helped increase voter turnout by almost 30% in 2023 local elections.

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people. We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

Tesla Takedown is great. I wonder if we can focus our energy on pressuring state and local lawmakers to (a) revoke Tesla storeroom permits and (b) divest state owned holdings from Tesla (and hedge out Tesla exposure in index fund holdings)

These protests are an example of a network effect, where 10x the participants can have 100x the effect. Thoughts on why it works, and how it's hard to get started...but once started, such efforts can grow rapidly.
