Having a depressive episode and getting told by a friend I should be thankful for what I have because things could be worse doesn't seem to help. Like telling me people are starving in the world doesn't make my food taste any better. I think we're focusing on the wrong issues.

Currently read "A Psalm for the Wild-Built" and I adore it's solarpunk setting so much. It has such deep world-building and every little detail shows it's history with nature and technology in harmony. I wish I could take a walk through both its urban and rural landscapes in real life 💕

Begging new readers to read the source material of movies based on books. I'm guilty of doing this when I was younger but having seen Rosemary's Baby and just now finishing the book... Y'all I'm so glad I did both. Both are great. Both are fun ways to experience stories told in different mediums.

From what I've read of R.F. Kuang's work, I think she'd make a great writer for a one-shot issue of Zatanna. A spoken magic system with underlying themes of colonization sounds like an interesting story and giving it to a quirky character like Zatanna might be fun to see!

I have so many students whose art awakening came with reading Witch Hat Atelier and I find that to absolutely inspiring and also adorable.

An underrated fandom experience is having a friend you can privately complain about your least favorite ships or headcanons with so you can have your petty bitch time without ever insulting or offending anyone in the fandom, and I think more people need to learn to do this
