One of the best things to happen recently is my ordering a book from the local romance bookstore and finding out they ordered extra copies based on my interest.

My current nonfiction read is the Mis-Education of the Negro and I’m pissed this wasn’t taught in my undergrad sociology of education class bc damn does it resonate.

I think a lot of us millennials & older really take it for granted that we were the last of only a couple generations where there was an all-encompassing campaign to encourage literacy. Everyone used to agree upon it. There were commercials with your favorite celebrities just being like, "READ!"
