Despite mounting challenges of 2024, Kasawski remains hopeful for 2025
Despite the progress made locally with some big projects moving ahead, 2024 marked a year of disruptive bills by the UCP government for Sherwood Park MLA Kyle Kasawski.

Is the UCP focused on the needs of Albertans?
This latest legislative sitting makes it clear that they are not.

Good joke. The Alberta UCP has: - hiked car insurance rates by 15% over 2 years - considered using public taxpayer money to pay to clean up abandoned oil wells - pushed to take away your CPP This statement from their news release on Dec 6 is absolutely laughable.

āIt turned out to be a promise made w/o proper planning, transparency & accountability. It backfired spectacularly ā & in so doing provided a glimpse into the motivations of a premier who too often makes decisions & policy on the fly, with Albertans left holding the bag.ā

There are many urgent priorities facing Albertans. Housing costs, access to a family doctor, the 7.5% insurance hike the UCP just dropped on us... The government should be focused on addressing those issues instead of making reckless decisions with Albertansā pensions.

If youāre a guy who pays $3000 a year to insure your F-150, under the UCPās new insurance plan, youāll pay $500 more a year. Clearly the UCP is listening to insurance companies more than Albertans.

Children need a safe and healthy environment to be in. Today I asked the Minister why the UCP isnāt supporting families or small business owners, despite numerous daycare closures in Edmonton and Calgary. Of course, I couldnāt get a clear answer.

The 2023/24 report on protection of persons in care shows the number of founded allegations have more than tripled. Failure to provide the necessities of life such as medical attention, proper nutrition & adequate hydration for residence are some of the most prevalent concerns.

Today we recognize the rights of people with disabilities, all they contribute in our communities & the work that needs to be done to support their wellbeing. We must commit to support people with disabilities to be fully active members of our communities & part of all decisions that affect them.

What does
@pancholirakhi.bsky.social
believe is the biggest difference between the UCP and the NDP? The goals. According to Rakhi &
@janisirwin.bsky.social
, the UCP only care about winning, while the NDP want to govern.
