I’ve heard from constituents who are concerned. When a childcare program fails to meet standards, parents must know if abuse occurred. They also need to know if a program has a history. Parents need more information to make informed decisions about their child’s safety.

As we approach the Alberta budget, it’s worth remembering that in 2024 Premier Danielle Smith requested increased immigration allocations and backed an aggressive plan to double Alberta’s population. That was the position then. Now, the narrative sounds very different.

The UCP government is trying to distract Albertans ahead of a large budget deficit next week. Nine referendum questions? Just call the election!

This morning, I was with community leaders to support the breakfast club at M.E. LaZerte School. We need to support breakfast programs in schools at the provincial level to ensure every child, in every school, can start their day with food so they can focus and learn.

It was a great morning with Dr. Donald Massey School watching and cheering on the Men's Olympic team and celebrating with all the youth. Every time we scored was just a great reminder about why we love Canada and the importance of team work.

This is a national tragedy and I am absolutely heartbroken. I join all Canadians in standing with the people of Tumbler Ridge. I send my condolences to the families and friends of those killed in this horrific event, and I am praying for a quick recovery for those injured. (1/2)

It's Throwback Thursday! Tomorrow is the start of the Olympics. This competition celebrates athletes' hard work and the friendships between nations. I had the honour of being a volunteer at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics—an experience that I will never forget. Go team Canada!

Albertans have worked their entire lives for their retirement and deserve to know their pensions are safe. They don’t want the UCP government gambling with their savings or risking a costly exit from the CPP. I will continue standing up for Albertans and protecting your pension.

I’ve heard from hundreds of Albertans about the growing chaos in our health care system. Emergency rooms are overwhelmed and frontline workers are stretched to the limit. We don’t need privatization. We need real solutions and proper funding to protect and strengthen public health care.

Expanding our agricultural opportunities will strengthen our economy and build a stronger future for us all. I am committed to working alongside the agriculture producers of this province to help create the conditions that attracts meaningful investment and supports good paying jobs.

This talk of separatism hurts our economy and creates uncertainty while distracting from real issues like car insurance, grocery bills, housing costs, and affordability. That’s why I’ve signed a pledge to stand up for Alberta in Canada. I’m an Albertan and a Canadian.

I am opposed to separatism. Separatism doesn’t reduce the cost of living, build hospital beds, or hire teachers. It scares away investment and jobs, and it damages our future economy. I am a proud Albertan and a proud Canadian and we need the UCP government to stand with Team Canada.

The UCP government needs to provide immediate investments to ensure that seniors in continuing care are in a safe and clean environment and we also need them to support my health care whistleblower protection bill, Bill 204, when it comes to a vote.

The Fraser Community League Annual General Meeting is tonight at 6:30 p.m. and afterwards there will be an Adult Game Night! This is a great opportunity to meet your neighbours and have some fun.

At committee it was made clear that more protections and better legislation is needed to protect whistleblowing healthcare workers. The UCP government needs to vote in favour of my bill to give these frontline workers the protection that they need to speak up about mismanagement and corruption.
