Dear
@nytimespr.bsky.social
. Your press release re comments I gave to
@transnews.network
includes many errors but one assertion is true: “TNN featured an interview with a former editor on the International desk at The Times who was not involved in these coverage decisions.” That is the problem

the reason people sometimes act madder at democrats than republicans when republicans do impossibly evil shit is the same reason why, if you hired an exterminator to handle a roach infestation and he showed up to feed and play with them instead, your first instinct wouldn’t be to yell at the roaches

In a slightly less unjust world, not only would the Trump administration all be facing charges for this, the people in media who covered for it would also be facing charges as collaborators.

If congress doesn’t even *attempt* to impeach the president over this unilateral illegal war of aggression, yes even the democrats in the minority, then both parties of congress have also delegitimized themselves, and congress as a whole has ceased to exist.

one thing about congress that's become very blatant in my life is that they actually kinda enjoy the executive bypassing them all the time to do military shit. this way, their fingerprints don't have to be on any of it. preferring a lack of responsibilities and accountability to their own power.

By experts, elites, academics, and such they mean Jews. And by "advocates" they mean racial minorities, disabled people, and queers. This is pretty much a statement of fealty to White Nationalism.

This, about how coverage of the Cass Report was handled, is pretty serious journalistic malpractice to me. You have a story in the works that will present your readership with complex reactions on a controversial piece of research and you kill it to run PR for the subject herself?

The fatal flaw of neoliberalism has always been its complete lack of any kind of ethos. Once voters realize their politicians will throw them under the bus at the first opportunity, it becomes very hard to mobilize real enthusiasm or popular support.

I remember, as a kid learning about civics, being told about the US President's authority over the military and Congress's war authority, and quickly coming to the conclusion that the President could de facto put the US into a war at any time simply by commanding an act of war be committed.

Seriously, this should have immediately prompted a massive public project to identify & free the falsely convicted, and to charge the people involved for their actions. Correcting this should have been a major focus of national politics for years to come.

the majority of people who voted for trump are white, straight, cisgendered people and the fact that so many allegedly liberal people think attacking a gay woman or Muslims in Dearborn solves anything shows that most of them are not ready to address the real problems in this country.

NC, Georgia, and to lesser extent Texas and Florida are liberal states where massive amounts of voter suppression keeps them under conservative rule. If liberals had decided that equal voting access was a do or die fight when the GOP went nuclear in 2010 with gerrymandering, we wouldn’t have Trump.
