This is me this bank holiday weekend with my 75 year old mum, who has always been much fitter than me. Proud of how far I have come. And grateful to her for never putting pressure on me. #edurunners

I ran 7k on a treadmill next to my teenage daughter today and we high-fived after every kilometer. Unrelated: There was no one else at the gym.

I slept for 15 hours straight after our residential. That is all.

Minor surgery on my back yesterday. I have been told not to exercise for two weeks. Two weeks! Only a few months ago I would have laughed, as I was doing virtually no exercise anyway. But now! The worst news ever! How things have changed.

Happy Easter Sunday, when the teenagers - who constantly tell you that they are too grown up and everything you ever suggest is too childish - ask for Easter eggs to be hidden.

A note for those considering #parkrun. Every week, I get beaten by people older, younger, heavier, lighter, with less running experience and more running experience. I promise you, nobody actually watches you and judges in the way you think they will.

Today, after losing 4.5 stone, I mistook me for my sister in a holiday photo. 🎉

Visited a 'Friedensreich Hundertwasser' church for my daughter's art project. Loved the colourful architecture and gates for every religion and continent in the church grounds.

Been for a holiday run with my extremely sporty son. And when I say run, I mean jog. And when I say with him, I mean I left the house at the same time as him, and we were both in running gear.

My daughter bought a book this morning (despite having a Kindle she could use), and spent the day reading without coming up for air or food. I remember that time, and hope it will come again for me.

I have now completed 14 'Beyond C25k' runs. If I was looking for an app with a training programme to get from 5k to 10k, what would you recommend? The three run options are great, but I need something new too. Any recommendations #edurunners? I am better with a structure, rather than 'just run'.
