I just wrote a ref letter for a NIH training grant for a student to conduct research on Alzheimer’s … she has spent over 5 years working in a research lab as a PhD student to get here… but they are now terminating these critical opportunities for young, creative minds-it’s bad for science

Those in high positions are thought to have power, but most really don't have power because they care too much about their career. Real power comes when you don't give a damn. Only then, can you speak the truth.
