sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

There's a larger point here I haven't seen discussed a lot. How do you ship a product in 2025 who's market includes children which can say fuck. How is this protection not there from day 1? How is this not part of the feature spec at design time? How does QA not raise this as a potential issue?

Say it after me: Chat GPT is not a search engine. It does not scan the web for information, it just generates statistically likely sentences. You cannot use it a search engine, or as a substitute for searching. Now. Please never use an LLM for information searches ever again.

A public project, funded and developed by state institutions, that is open sourced and providing something genuinely useful. We could do this in this country, we have talent like they do. But nah, it's all AI mate, that's the future, that's how we solve everything. Makes me really despair.

I think the thing Marathon will have to solve most of all is that I am 30 years old and do not have two other friends ready-to-go any time I want to play the game, let alone ones who are also willing to engage in high-risk gameplay instead of just vibing and hanging out for a while.
