Just got home from returning one of those soda/seltzer makers. When we got home with it, we noticed that it had been opened and previously used (there was liquid and a slight citrus smell in the bottle) despite the product being on the shelf and sold as new!! Yuck??

I don't really know web tech that well so I'm open to suggestions and recommendations: I'm thinking that I'd like my site to be a PWA and it should avoid a centralized database. Users should own their data and it should sync/replicate to the user's other devices.

I'm interested in using the concept of a user's PDS as a data store for a web app. Users would sign in with their PDS as a kind of "bring your own storage". Similar to "sign in with Dropbox" but you own your data, or similar to remotestorage.io
