Friendship. Wow, now that is a film. I don't know how I feel about it, but maybe that's the point. Not what I expected. A difficult watch, but also a compelling watch.

A little late to the party, but Platonic with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne is so good. Deals with something really interesting with a really soft touch, and that makes it really stand out from the pack. Season 1 is done, looking forward to getting into season 2 soon.

Find myself far more excited and interested by the Donnarumma signing than I was a week ago. He's definitely got an aura about him. Feels like a big big personality, and he's a big mate of Haaland's. Obviously a world class keeper too.

I've always used Apple Music as my go to streaming service. I've never been able to enjoy using Spotify or its premium services. Ugly interface, just not for me. But it feels like I'm in a minority. Why do so many people prefer Spotify?

Watched the Led Zeppelin documentary last night. So good. My big takeaway which I audibly gasped at was that John Paul Jones arranged and played on To Sir With Love, and him and Page played on Goldfinger.

Sometimes you write and you think "am I really this bad?". Other times you write, and think, "I really am a genius." Today is a latter day and I'm embracing it.

Terrible news about Diego Jota. So tragic. Footballers are like superheroes to most of us. Look, feel, sound indestructible. We watch them on big screens and on big stages. But ultimately they're just human beings navigating the same complicated and sometimes unfair world as the rest of us.

Some disappointments and some positives from the CWC. As someone said last week "either win it or go out in the round of 16". So fine, the players get a long rest and everyone gets a minute to think about how to reshape the squad. Big net positives, the new signings, Foden and Doku.

Some life truth. Been a difficult 12 months. For various reasons found the work I was doing unsatisfying and was in a big creative hole. But the last couple of months have begun to spring green shoots of recovery. Culminated in the opportunity to write a film for a director I love.

Been an interesting season for Doku. Played a lot of minutes, been given a lot of praise, and still seems to divide a lot of supporters. Was good to hear Pep saying in the post match PC that he can eventually see him playing in a more central role when he uses his full backs high and wide.

Doku carried on running straight into De Bruyne’s arms. Maybe he should trivela every cross. A top class bit of play to win it
