Great chat on Elliot Anderson. And what he could add to City. From what I’ve seen of Anderson, he’s deffo capable of playing that role alongside Rodri/Nico G (similar to Bernardo). Some McAtee chat too. (Bailey’s’s Hub pods are unrivalled in the City space, IMO. Top.)

Think only one of Rodri/Bernardo will start tonight (after the effort of Anfield). My guess: Gigi; Nunes, Dias, Guehi, RAN; Rodri, NOR, Foden; Cherki, Haaland, Semenyo.

Irrespective of the VAR nonsense. What a fucking win & reaction. 3 points at Anfield. Bernardo and Guehi were totemic. Donnarumma as well; those big saves are priceless.

More than ANY other referring decision I’ve seen. Denying that Cherki goal. That moment. Shows just how out-of-touch the referees/PGMOL are.

Haaland needs to step up today. Not just in terms of finishing chances. That goes without saying (particularly given recent misses). But in terms of linking with Semenyo x Marmoush. And the physical battle with Konate/VVD. Needs to win his duels, knockdowns, etc.

Pep’s gone for it… at Anfield. Uncharacteristic! The only way to get Semenyo x Marmoush x Haaland into the same team was to add some ballast to the midfield. Bernardo/NOR with Rodri.

Weirdly, I think this is one of the best Reviews we’ve done this season. Foden/Haaland being overplayed (IMO). But a separate discussion on their performances. Plus Rodri too.. wtf. Rest defence. Alleyne’s errors. RAN’s “defending”. Etc Plus a big discussion on… whether Pep is finished ?

I think Haaland needs to come off tbh. Don’t get the impression he’s going to churn through these (missed) chances to start bagging. He looks so lacking in sharpness atm, which has to be due to fatigue (from playing too much).
