TIME’S PASSING (2007) Oil on Panel - 26” x 16” As a native Californian, I really enjoy the change in seasons that I experience living in New England. There is even beauty to be found in the shadows of the leafless trees against the pale gray winter sky. 1/2

Rooted in classical expression, my paintings also look to the future. They gaze out upon the world we live in, but also inward, to the worlds we only see in our dreams, memories, and imagination. "Afternoon in Rome" Watercolor on Paper: 30"x22"

In 2011, John M Burns proposed illustrating Modesty Blaise in colour. He used existing strips from the story "Top Traitor" drawn by Jim Holdaway (whose work he admired - he had a Holdaway original framed in his studio) in lieu of a script. Here are his examples alongside the Holdaway strips.

Even though John M Burns was sacked from the Modesty Blaise newspaper strip, he was the go to guy for subsequent covers, commissions and sketches. These are the covers he did for the first Titan reprint series. 2/2

Went to a car boot sale (yard sale) and bought two albums and of course they are scratched to crap and unlistenable. I don't learn. I bought a record player two weeks ago and I have one album, a bit repetitive.

Latest commission done, sketch cover request. I went overboard for the price offering, but that was my call. Client didn't mind. I use a custom holder made from masonite to hold the comic. The scan on this one is crap. My scanner seems to pick and choose what it likes and doesn't like.
