Today is a win for everybody. And by everybody I mean specifically Eagles and Kendrick Lamar fans.

This is a challenge! I work with my team how to balance the pain and sorrow that comes with studying our discipline to focus on the joy that still existed. Humans have always had joy within the fight for justice - and hopefully, by showing this in our classrooms, students take that into their lives!

I’m convinced the “do audiobooks count as reading?” argument all derives from those mid-90s summer reading pizza challenges. Folks - we’re all in our 30s and 40s now. It’s no longer a competition. Go buy your favorite pie with your adult money and let people enjoy books however they want.

If we were re-designing the education system from scratch, one thing I’d love to see is the destruction of the linear career ladder out of the classroom. Cyclical would be better, I think. Out-of-classroom positions, such as building leaders? Temporary. Then back into the classroom for a stretch.
