Album of the Day #51 Futurebirds - Teamwork (2020) I don’t know what to call this. Vibes based Americana? Southern roots jam band psychedelic folk rock? A good ass time? This album makes me want to be with my friends, talking shit playing pool or something in a room that is smoky for no reason.

Album of the Day #50 Ho99o9 - United States of Horror (2017) Listening to this album felt like fighting with myself (compliment). Not even a fight really it just felt like I was getting pummeled by every version of me that could exist.

AOTD # 49 Joanna Sternberg - I’ve Got Me (2023) Listening to this album was borderline uncomfortable (compliment). It’s like when you meet a person that is so honest that it almost scares you.

AOTD # 48 The Horrible Crowes - Elsie (2011) This album is MOODY. In a good way. Almost every song feels like they are struggling to pull it out of themselves. There is hope in the songs but even the hope feels like it’s brooding.

AOTD # 47 Lilly Hiatt - Trinity Lane (2017) I’m really a “if you’re gonna sing your heart out, sing it like you mean it” kinda guy and she MEANS these songs. The writing is so good. A true heartbreak album.

AOTD # 46 Bambu - They’re Burning The Boats (2025) Bambu is a master at what he does. His flow is so casual and effortless sounding. Incredibly cool voice and he showcases a lot of different styles over a short track list.

AOTD #45 Passion Pit - Chunk of Change (2008) This is an album that could only be made in 2008 (compliment). As someone who was in the trenches of hipster dive bar dance party nights in that time this is what the vibe of the whole scene was.

AOTD # 44 Van Morrison - A Period of Transition (1977) This album is incredibly funky. I did not expect horn-infused bluesy funk borderline R&B music when I put this Van Morrison album on this morning but life is full of funny surprises. I am happy that the path has lead me here.
