Wealth being concentrated in the hands of a few is incompatible with democracy. It is good for democracy if we take the masses amounts of wealth that billionaires have and redistribute it among the masses of people — people who are trying to feed, house and clothe their families.

In June, dozens of tenants in Los Angeles went on utility strike — they refused to pay their utility bills and demanded the landlord provide transparency as to how the bills are counted. Three months into the strike, the landlord returned more than $25,000 back to these tenants.

Huge win ‼️ This is Mac. His corporate landlord just back-credited his account with over $700 after dozens of tenants in his building went on utility strike back in June. The whole building got back over $25,000 in a concession by their corporate landlord Equity Residential.

I actually don't have medical debt but credit card debt because for years I put my COBRA premium on a high interest credit card. I couldn't use that healthcare because I once went for a visit and immediately they needed tests: $500 deductible I couldn't afford. So I've gone untreated for years.
