Game sunday! First game is Phoenix Point by a publisher who almost never misses for me. Bit dense and the order of the rulebook was super annoying but I LIKE IT.

year of the witcher day 14: Another round of the Witcher Adventure Game. It’s dated and rough around the edges, and I am objectively bad at it BUT i am enjoying it for what it is; which is very authentic to the Witcher.

Witcher day 8: It’s been a long challenging month already so I’m treating myself to The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. Now I know where Drowners keep their brains!

Year of the Witcher Day 7: I had planned on playing The Witcher Adventure Game but that fell through. What I was successful in doing was explaining how the game works to a friend who I gifted a Steam copy to and also go on a rant about how modern Gwent is not MY Gwent. Back in MY day we had 3 lanes

Year of the Witcher Day 6: I’m a day late posting because i had a busy day dealing with family issues, but i was still successful in my mission. I played about 45 minutes of Throne Breaker and read a few chapters of Sword of Destiny. Lighter fare but still progress! #yearofthewitcher

I took a break from the original Witcher a few hours ago and could not stop thinking about it so I’m back again. How does an 18 year old game capture my attention so much when it looks like this?

Year of the Witcher Day 4: More diving into the RPG. I think it’s a throwback to old, clunkier systems but it’s done so well I think it could work very well. I’m gonna make a sample character to get a feel for it.

Year of the Witcher day 2! Returning to a classic throwback, the Witcher Adventure Game by Fantasy Flight. Not my favorite of the Witcher Board Games but it’s definitely underrated!

Friday game day. After getting destroyed twice in a row at Azul Mini, I’m playing my second favorite game called Mycelia.

It’s a witchy night. A return to the Witcher: Old World first.

The game de jour is Witcher: Old World by Game on Board. As a HUGE witcher fan i like it a lot. It’s not perfect but it does make me feel like a witcher.

First game of the day was Age of Galaxy 2E. This is what I think i wanted Imperial Settlers to be. Very snappy abstracted 4X game that felt really strategic. I normally don’t like the “manage your entire game with only 7 cards” genre but this one was a hit.

One of my goals in life is to meet @timhutchings.bsky.social because he has long been my favorite creative person. I live for the newsletter updates.
