High inflation, limited high-denomination banknotes, and fewer deposits being made at Cuban banks have forced residents to wait hours to withdraw of up to the Cuban peso equivalent of ten US dollars.

Havana is currently facing a public health hazard driven by a collapse in regular waste collection, resulting in large accumulations of garbage on streets and sidewalks.

Over the past few months, video footage circulating on social media has repeatedly shown US citizens who have tried to film ICE agents on their phones being pushed, pepper sprayed, threatened with arrest and occasionally detained. ft.trib.al/q3kzNQC
