When I was in middle school I was always drawing fairies and because I was always drawing fairies and only fairies, the other girls in school would ask me to draw them as fairies.

This is fair. I mainly take issue with how theory culture overcomplicates and misses the point of media. Too often it focuses too hard on piecing together a puzzle, rather than the appreciating whole picture and what it's saying; the "no meaning, only lore" idea that killed Twin Peaks for 25 years.

I think my biggest problem with theroy culture currently it's because lots of people treated as a way to find a definitive answer and explain it. RATHER then to dissect interesting themes and messages within the text of the show.

The second portion of this headline was a (presumably) joke response to an equally harmless question, suggesting that there weren’t immediate plans for follow-up content. But when a news outlet failing to do due diligence makes it sound like genuine internalized hatred, they invite MORE harassment.

Creators don't owe you anything. You are the audience, no matter how big of a fan you claim to be. You don't get to change how a story is told, and have no right to hurt the people telling it. Seeing my friends be harassed infuriates me, and anyone I ever catch doing that will be blocked on sight.
