"Builder's remedy" is a little-known mechanism where, if a city isn't complying with state housing laws, builders don't have to comply with the city's zoning. Then @cselmendorf.bsky.social made a viral 2019 thread about it that sparked a California building revolution.

Drug prices are a hot topic, but they're 14% of health care expenditures and pay for themselves. What else can we do to reduce the price of healthcare? Target other, hidden costs, like hospital or procedure costs, that don't sustain the cost of innovation.

In health policy reform, we focus on the end: how do we get drugs to market? We don't think about the beginning: how do we get more breakthroughs into the pipeline? Abundance is the answer. Prioritize experimentation and testing more drugs, instead of putting up barriers to clinical trials.
