Can't tell whether I'm at that stage of life where new things often seem outlandish or whether it is actually bizarre that a significant new public policy concern is safeguards on artificial intelligence being thwarted by "adversarial poetry".

Video games are an interesting #epherma area for #ac library collection. Beyond platforms becoming obsolete & dysfunctional w/o server-side maintenance, a lot of current platforms for purchasing games just don't offer a legal option for library ownership and/or preservation.

The problem isn't that we lack evidence. It's is that we've yet to develop the political will to do anything re: radicalization. Politicians benefit from the virality of outrage. Platforms profit from the engagement spikes that anger, fear, & conspiracy generate. So we muddle along while Rome burns.

Why is this the priority when there are so many actual problems for the government to solve?

Amongst all the fun of this it’s, once again, worth pointing out that I couldn’t convince a single university in the UK of the value of this sort of public history work or the benefits of a REF impact case study built around computer games and Lucasfilm.
