I built a new shelf today to hold VHS in my retro media center! and to celebrate I'm watching my official @summoningsalt.bsky.social Halo 2 World Records VHS tape that I got! (the photo is taken on my friend's digicam!)

my vision for my 3d fish tank is to have an editor where you can add different kinds of fish and plants/decorations, and then export it as an embed you can put on your site, with a little badge to link back to the editor so other ppl can create their own

Having some fun making a virtual fish tank with three.js and react-three-fiber! If you aren't familiar with r3f I highly recommend checking it out, it's really cool how easily the pieces fit together to create something interactive (github.com/pmndrs/react...)

I made a custom homepage for my home server! Every service is accessible on a different subdomain behind an nginx proxy, which uses SSL. And tailscale lets me access from outside my home network! Some services/addresses are obscured for privacy :p

spent weeks meticulously planning out and setting up a media server only to realize I'd rather watch my docker containers move files around than actually watch any of the media they're organizing

Just ordered my parts for my homelab setup! I decided to go with a basic steel wire shelf from amazon so that I don't need to pay the rack-mounted premium. And I'm building my own NAS/media server, using an ASRock board with integrated intel N100 CPU and a silverstone case w/ 5x 3.5" bays!

ok mostly just a fantasy exercise but do i build this 42u rack homelab??? my current setup is an intel nuc from 2015 with a 1tb usb hard drive so it'd be a bit of a step up...

i've been kinda rotting lately, playing old school runescape nonstop for the last 2 months (336 hours logged lmao) but i am finally feeling some creative energy again and i am starting conceptual work on what will hopefully become the next game I create!

now that ive done my task that ive been putting off (releasing MoAT 1.1.0) i get to do my previous activity (grinding agility in old school runescape) in my defense i had covid like 2 weeks ago

I'm done building my cabinet for my retro media nook! I'm really happy with how it's come out! esp because I've never done woodworking before and I designed it all myself (still needs to be stained and finished but i couldn't help but set it up just to make sure everything fits)

having a wonderful time on my first ever woodworking project!!!!!

ive gotten sucked into designing a CRT TV cabinet for my retro media center, so in addition to watching 100 youtube videos about how to use a circular saw and uv-unwrapping my cabinet design onto a 4'x8' plywood sheet, i've also decided that constructing it in blender at 3am is a good use of time

my girlfriend and i are planning on making a tv cabinet, although neither of us has ever done carpentry before...
