My thoughts on cuts to science via NIH and IES It is: ILLEGAL: the funding has been congressionally mandated IDIOTIC: the multiplier effects of R&D are big in the moment (local econs) and huge in the long run (innovation) IMMORAL: knowledge is—hear me out—good; chaos and destruction are bad
