The amount of human years, capital and expertise funneled into this field at the expense of others is staggering. All for 5 companies to pursue the same strategy of hyperscaling datacenters and LLMs. A tragedy of resource allocation while the earth is ravaged by war, climate change & starvation.

The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.

As a tech creator, how do you expect me to: a) believe you have the knowledge b) respect your experience c) return for other videos When your tutorial or advice includes using AI to look things up. That is and should be your added value. If I didn't want to know something, I'd use AI myself.
