Luckily, those higher up can't snuff out the awareness and intent of developers at every step before, during, and after development. Lots of people are aware of what can be done to make games more accessible, and I'm certain they'll keep doing what they can, no matter their job title or position.

Aside from the folly of wanting to reach a billion players daily, aiming to reach any substantial number of players means you also need to to include people with accessibility needs. A large and ever growing group. Any cuts in accessibility and user research shows it's not about the players at all.

Reminder for those with scars with this heat and strong sun; keep those scars protected and moisturized. Put on strong sunscreen to protect them, and use hydrating cream to keep them flexible and soft. I have a surgical scar / radiation burn combo and simple Nivea or Cetaphil creams work wonders.

I have a few smart home products depending on WiFi (LifX lights and a presence sensor). I had a separate access point running for those. I switched to a wired connection for my Raspberry Pi 4 / Home Assistant combo and now use its WiFi as an access point instead. A much cleaner setup!
