Real talk - A lot of folks across the political spectrum don't consider the ethical and moral implications of the positions they take and the tactic they advocate for. This is why, when confronted with those implications, they crash out. Crashing out is easier than defending their position.

A older white woman on my train today was playing music without her headphones on. This did not inspire me to attack the next white person I saw because I am not someone who punishes people for the sins of the group I perceive them to be part of!

I have had great difficulty getting outlets to review my first book, given the subject matter being bigotry, and Liberal Currents gave it a good faith critical review. I know that I'm not alone in the knowledge that this is one of the few outlets where critical conversations are happening everyday

As always, this is an interesting piece in LC and worth a read. I really disagree with the structural flattening and the notion of a 'stable fascist society' which to me just doesn't really add up under interrogation- but this piece makes you think about the question!

What an excellent piece on bigotry and what we can–and can't–do to try to stem it. Bottom line: most bigots will never change, and if you accept them you are accepting bigotry.
