I have now finished all of #StarTrek TOS, TAS, 6.3 movies, and seasons 1-4 of TNG. Now entering Season 5, my favorite of all the Trek seasons! (paper towel reflection in lower left not actually in episode)

I love matte paintings on #StarTrek. But once, just once, I’d love it if some alien homeworld looked like Burbank.

I’m watching the finale of #StarfleetAcademy. As I do so, I keep thinking of how I wish I could run #StarTrek. I feel like I prepared my whole life to take the helm and tell interesting stories. That being said, here are the ideas I done had for a Trek show:

If I ran #StarTrek, I would ask for a budget of $5 mil an ep, and produce 26 episodes a year. It’s about being creative under the gun, not having more than enough time and money to doubt yourself and try to be high brow. I think me and a team could do something amazing.

In my rewatch of #StarTrek TNG, I am now at the half way point. Which is bittersweet. I’ve been enjoying every moment and I wish it would end so soon.

I found a Game Genie code that swaps Mario being big when he’s small, and small when he’s big. So you get the small fire power Mario when you grab the fire flower. It beats having to master that death glitch.

A few years ago I bought a Game Genie for the NES. I couldn’t get it to work. Until last night. I never had one growing up, so this is fun. I used a code that made Mario a shadow.

In #StarTrek, Gene Roddenberry realized the importance of a timeless language. Rick Berman, as a documentary maker, enforced more stagnant shots that also feel timeless. New Trek breaks these rules. For some, that might explain why new Trek feels off.
