I am about to watch a movie I have never seen, but acquired on blu ray. “Videodrome” is a movie I’ve heard about for decades, but never saw. So, this should be a hoot. Any thoughts?

I know a lot of people are (were) fans of Charlie Sheen. But I feel like people overlook the eclectic career of Emilio Estevez. St Elmo’s Fire Repo Man Breakfast Club Maximum Overdrive Young Guns Mighty Ducks He was all over the place and solid all the way.

Currently watching the 1991 masterpiece “Dead Again”! This is a movie that gets better with every viewing. Once you know what the deal is, it gets better and better. Brilliant writing, solid performances, great direction. It should have been a bigger movie! Any fans?

I don't know whether it was staged or not. I DO know he & his regime are a disgrace to this country & will live in infamy long after they all face charges, are convicted & imprisoned. Since I’ve watched “Flashdance” and “The Last Dragon”, I decided to keep the #80s fest going with “Repo Man”. This is one I’ve once seen once. But an 80s movie is an 80s movie, meant to be enjoyed and scrutinized for the look and pop culture.

FLASHDANCE features many sexy moments that come out of nowhere. I love when Jennifer Beals take off her bra! The reaction of her boyfriend says it all.

One of the things I love about FLASHDANCE is the soundtrack. Duh, I know. But I feel the “Love Theme” is massively under appreciated. It’s what the #80s sound like to me. It’s so moody and synth-driven. I loved it so much I put it in my jukebox!

Flashdance was so popular, even Snoopy got in on the fun. And Peanuts generally didn’t reference pop culture at all.

They say she’s dancing like she’s never danced before… but she seems trained and experienced to me. She’s done this plenty of times!

After binging “Roots”, I needed a popcorn movie. So, the 4k of “Flashdance” it is! #80s Forever!

I always thought if I had two hours to talk with @levarburton.bsky.social I’d ask him about Star Trek. After watching “Roots”, I have so many questions. How did that role affect him? What were his thoughts then and now about Roots? What was Louis Gossett Jr like to work with?

I’m done watching “Roots” and am now watching the bonus features on the blu ray. I feel it’s a remarkably profound story that should be watched more often. Great writing, great performances.
