my favorite mug from the last round of glaze firings :3 i love the way this floating blue ended up interacting with the throwing rings #ceramics

this mug was the biggest surprise of the firing - the glaze came out matte and super opaque, there’s actually pink under the turquoise (not that you can see it)!

the first of my mugs from the previous round of firings. this glaze combination was a nightmare to work with, and i could tell it was going to be problematic before the firing; but i didn’t expect the huge, inexplicable bare patch, nor the extremely smooth matte finish.
