Thames Water infrastructure average age is 79 yrs. 40% of assets are 100+ yrs old. Water industry average is 56 years. At current rate, it will take 700+ yrs to renew assets. Since 1989 industry neglected investment, £88bn+ dividends paid, customers fleeced. Privatisation isn't the answer.

Main rate of UK Corporation Tax cut from 52% in 1983 to 19% in 2017-23, now 25%. They told us cuts would increase investment and wages. For the last 30 yrs UK has been at or near the bottom of the OECD league for investment. Real average wage unchanged since 2008. Capital and execs benefited.
