LRT it's worth noting that I actually enjoy being an amateur game designer it's part of the fun of the hobby to me but like, when I do that I make my own stuff from scratch to GM. Patching up someone else's work sucks and I hate it so the point stands-

"Be an unpaid game designer and patch shit that doesn't work" is an unnecessary part of this burden, and one of the most foundational arguments for why games should work out of the box is simply because the GM should not have to put up with that shit on top of everything else

This is an incredibly apt point, one that D&D in particular is historically incredibly bad at noting and facilitating to the point that "GM burnout" is a thing, because it places a bunch of shitty, unenjoyable burdens upon whoever has been chosen to actually run the game

...that's just part of the process sometimes

Turns out the secret sauce to hiding bsky image compression is just uploading real high-res stuff so that the resizing hides the artifacts. Sorta counterproductive but aight I can work with that Feels like something most folks already knew but hey, learn every day
