Just put on a documentary about witches of Essex. Rylan is presenting it. Why? Never seen anything like it. A history doc. with a Rylan quip, a stupid comment at the end of each scene. The weirdest thing in Lair of the White Worm is Lord d'Ampton's butler.

Always annoyed and amused me equally in old films and TV when people got stabbed or shot in the torso and died instantly. It takes at least a few minutes to bleed out, and can take hours for internal injuries to the body to kill. Even head shots can take a while unless certain parts of the brain go.

People always talk about Franz Kafka. Kafka is great, of course, but why does no one talk of Gustav Meyrink? If you want to read of strange mystic Prague, Gustav Meyrink wrote books far beyond anything Kafka achieved. And I love Kafka. Gustav Meyrink finished his novels n’all.

Tarot is the same as Kabbalah with different symbols. Gnosticism is the same as Alchemy with different symbols. All these things are from the same roots. Remove cultural dress from Hermeticism and Taoism, you come to similar conclusions. Polarity. Energy. Ascent. Yin yang/as above, so below. Etc.

Pierced on the wood like Woden or Christ, I endured my ordeal for the sake of suffering. A sacrifice of the boy. Down into the dark tunnel of infinity, I walked blind in an unknown darkness. Through the black light, and back into the shining light, I rose again like a firebird. Born new. Invincible.

Felt a drip on my abdomen. Thought it was sweat or blood. Lifted me shirt. Nothing. Inside? Something burst in me gut, and a fire exploded there, rushing up me spine, into my mind. Me head tilted back, spine contorted. Mad visions. Me mate wanted to drive me to hospital. I was 17. Something changed.

I met meself on the last bridge and looked me in the face. Me eyes shone back at me, and I walked away, still me, and then some.
