I'm seeing multiple MDs, including those high up at the WHO, repeatedly say the public need not worry about hantavirus, you need close prolonged contact to get the illness, it's not airborne, and most worryingly, the WHO advising HCWs to use inadequate respiratory protection. When a virus (Covid) has such a high asymptomatic transmission rate (40%+), masking when you feel sick is literally shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped. If you’re ok with spreading a virus that can kill and disable others, knowingly or unknowingly, fine. Now you know.

Accommodations for disabled people can be implemented. Covid proved that. Watching them disappear in a world that embraced them for a short time has been heartbreaking. Also, masks are an accessibility aid.

So the NIH — while cutting funding for cancer, Alzheimer’s, ALS, infectious disease — wants to study Trump Derangement Syndrome??? Say what? This is truly the worse timeline.
