When a virus (Covid) has such a high asymptomatic transmission rate (40%+), masking when you feel sick is literally shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped. If you’re ok with spreading a virus that can kill and disable others, knowingly or unknowingly, fine. Now you know.

Accommodations for disabled people can be implemented. Covid proved that. Watching them disappear in a world that embraced them for a short time has been heartbreaking. Also, masks are an accessibility aid.

So the NIH — while cutting funding for cancer, Alzheimer’s, ALS, infectious disease — wants to study Trump Derangement Syndrome??? Say what? This is truly the worse timeline.

It’s ME/CFS Awareness Month. This is probably the best description I’ve seen of how it feels for me. The switch to adrenaline is real (sometimes assisted by caffeine) and causes my worst crashes if I don’t recognize it and stop in time.

For years, folks looked the other way as millions died or became disabled by Covid. They shouted “your health is not my responsibility” or “only the vulnerable” were at risk. This callous disregard for human life has desensitized us. It helped pave the way for the current atrocities.
