This is a big piece on Yahoo Finance about targeting methane emissions. It gets some of the facts wrong. First up: "Methane emissions from oil and gas operations account for almost a third of the global total and are caused primarily by leaks and flaring." Leaks are less than 10% of emissions.

If US gas is so clean with very low methane emissions why is the US telling the EU it needs to get rid of its methane regulations if it wants to import US LNG? Because US LNG is a very dirty fuel due to high methane emissions.
