Watched 'No Place for Jennifer' (1950) tonight, which was an enjoyable enough drama about the impact of divorce on a child and, more importantly, included a brief glimpse of the Euston Arch. Silly ending, though. The cameo of a pre-Hartnell Doctor was a surprise.

I watched 'It Couldn't Happen Here' for the first time yesterday and spotted something that's probably only of interest to #PetShopBoys fans: a couple of the locations are in Crystal Palace, where I lived for 15 years. This one's on Crystal Palace Station Road, near the junction with Anerley Hill.

The thrill of seeing Barry Letts's name in the opening credits of films is usually followed by the disappointment of glimpsing him in only one or two scenes (e.g., 'Scott of the Antarctic' and 'The Cruel Sea'). Not so with 'San Demetrio, London', which I watched recently. He's in it a lot.

Watching ‘Lover Come Back’, a romantic screwball comedy in which Rock Hudson keeps his true identity secret from Doris Day and is referred to as ‘Superman’ by some envious onlookers. And then there’s a romantic supper with the New York skyline beyond a leafy balcony.

Very much enjoyed watching 'The Thief' (1952) this week, an exciting Cold War thriller with Ray Milland in the lead and not a word of dialogue in its 86 minutes. The regeneration scene was a surprise, though.

A mystery is solved in this week’s #GhostMonuments through serendipity! I could never find police box T24 on any of the old maps, but I think I’ve now located it, and I assume there was a clerical error in the written record.

The Gothic sight that greeted me as I turned the corner onto the street I live on this evening.

That was one of the things that made me think it couldn’t be one of the publicly accessible police boxes, despite the sign for an entirely unremarkable London street, which threw me. It just took a moment of inspiration to think where it *could* be.

Someone got in touch with me yesterday to ask for help in identifying a police box location, and it posed a conundrum. His late father was in the photo he sent, so I was keen to help. In the back of the shot is a street sign saying, Parke Road SW13, but there *was* no police box on Parke Road SW13.

Thank god, I was slipping into a coma, there. #LiveAid

I remembered that you see a police box towards the end of Genevieve (feat. Chancellor Flavia 😁), and had a look. Worked out its box L11 on the Old Kent Road in Walworth, opposite what’s now Burgess Park. I’ve not (knowingly) seen a photo or footage of it before.
