Thinking about how to the release The Daleks' Master Plan physically, I like the ideas a few people had of splitting the release in two and only animating the missing episodes. This is how I think a release like that could look.

In 1981 Doctor Who Magazine published the first comprehensive inventory of the BBC's archive, listing which Doctor Who episodes existed and were missing. 45 years on, 41 episodes have been returned to the archives. Here's a recreation of that list followed by how it stands in 2026.

Some notes about the War Between Blu-Ray ♦️- It’s locked to Region B ♦️- The full Whoniverse ident plays before each episode ♦️ - There is an error on The Sea Devils where the subtitles are forced on. Only way to force them off is if you have the option on the players’ settings.

Judging by disc count, I believe the Steelbook version of The TV Movie is the only 4K release that includes the Blu-ray version of the film. The standard 4K release is only 2 discs as opposed to 3.

The new Royal Mail alternate days for second class post sucks. Makes it a real postcode lottery as to whether you get DWM on the Wednesday or not. It appears I’m in the wrong week now. I’m so desperate to see the Season 21 disc breakdown.

The BBC has apparently created an official Doctor Who Escape Room YouTube channel. Listed as upcoming is 2nd, 5th and 6th Doctor episodes with dates. Suggesting Season 21 will be out before 13th April and a Troughton release (could be an animation) before 16th October.

Charity shop bargains! Paid £3.50 for all of these Blu-rays! The Matrix Trilogy and Blade Runner are still sealed (I’ve never seen them before). And Star Wars is a Steelbook of the 3 prequels.

This is interesting. On Disc 4 (The Story and Interstellar discs) there’s a feature called Reality War Companion Catch-up. It’s interview with Varada and Carole Ann that was posted on YouTube. But it’s telling it was originally made for The Reality War.

I’m now back to owning every Doctor Who episode on disc!

Interesting tidbit on the latest Radio Free Skaro episode. Apparently the missing episodes held in a private collection (bigger fish to fry) that Paul Vanezis knows the identity of, that “They are not too significant”. It might not sound like much but we can rule episodes out.

Based on your suggestions, I've expanded my original list for potential candidates. I decided not to include anyone who is deceased who may have possibly be banked. I also feel it's a shame Matthew Waterhouse missed out on one, so I shoe-horned him in with S21.

The BBC are still advertising the latest season of Doctor Who. There’s a new advert showcasing family adventure, featuring Back to the Future and Walking with Dinosaurs as well.

I had a reply today from the DVD Enquiry line confirming that the 20th Anniversary Unleashed special and the 2024 Proms will not be on Season 2 due to rights issues.
