Last year's shutdown of @glitch.com was a huge blow to my pedagogy. Glitch was ideal for creative coding classes and workshops. I looked around for alternatives. But there was nothing that was open, decentralized, and not at the mercy of VCs or Big Tech. So I built my own. Here's Glitchlet.

I want people to understand that "can AI replace (teachers, doctors, etc)?" isn't a question of technological capacity, it is a political and social question. Can the technology do X? If you adapt X a bit, yes Do we want it to? Does the good of doing that outweigh the cost? Real questions.

I am sympathetic to the goal of excluding agentic AI from spaces like surveys and classrooms where human-only participation is important BUT the techniques used seem unlikely to remain effective once bot makers design tools to intentionally evade them. This is going to be a long haul.
