We’ve spent the day in Manchester along with many of our Warm Homes, Healthy Futures programme partners. It was a fantastic day of celebrating successes of the programme that has been made possible through support from Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, SGN and Wales & West Utilities.

A week ago, our staff team met up in-person. We discussed how much we have grown as a charity to support even more people living in fuel poverty. We planned for how we will continue to put people first and make homes warmer and healthier.

Ofgem recently announced that energy debts and arrears have reached record levels. Despite a 7% fall in energy bills this week, millions will still struggle as they are already caught in a vicious cycle of debt.

Average annual energy bill to rise to £1,849 in Great Britain from April

Ofgem has announced that energy bills will rise from April. This is worrying as our new polling with YouGov.co.uk shows that nearly half of adults in GB expect to ration their energy over the coming months.
