To be clear, it's more than just a compatibility patch. The patch lets the game detect when it's running on Switch 2 and turns on a bunch of lighting effects that had to be nerfed for the Switch 1. So it's practically a native Switch 2 game in a Switch 1 package

Animal Well is one of the most unique Metroidvania experiences. It’s also like 40MB on PC. Not GB… MB… and it somehow has more shit in it than any game over 100GB I couldn’t recommend it enough. If you have an OLED monitor or a Steam Deck OLED this game is a no brainer
