Watched “Tales from the Rez” this week. Produced by Blackfoot Nation Films, each episode is short and to the point, but establishes stakes and tension even in the timeframe. Charles Duck Chief shines as host, and the show steps expertly between horror and comedy without one diminishing the other.

I slept on Babylon initially. For a film that’s mostly advertised as a celebration of decadence, beneath the sound and fury it’s a contemplation on the caprice & fleeting nature of fame, all it’s hidden costs, and the bittersweet taste of time’s inevitable passing.

Sat down & watched “Cursed” aka “Extremely Scary Story A: Dark Crow”. A 2004 Japanese film based on a story by Yumeaki Hirayama. It’s Hill House meets the special tortures of a retail job with creepy, overbearing owners & unsettling customers. This haunting has legs to follow customers home.
