I have to admit, I was like @horrordad.bsky.social when I saw this as a kid. I didn't get it -- the deviation from the original's tone, the comedic elements, the subtext, etc. It was only when I watched as an adult that it finally clicked, and now I appreciate it for what it truly is: ingenious.

When I got home I discovered that I now have the complete set! I knew I had the first one but had forgotten about II and III. Does this mean I have too many books? No. No it does not.

A surprising find from the used bookstore today—The Omen IV: Armageddon 2000. Apparently it’s a direct sequel to The Final Conflict but has nothing to do with the tv movie from the 90s. I am intrigued!
