*sigh*… Look, I know it’ll probably be fine, but it suffers from the same problem I had with Twilight Princess when you take all the Twilight aspects away, it looks too generic, too bland. I hope for the best for this movie but I couldn’t be less interested in it at this point.

This is really disappointing. And no I will not stop venting about how terrible GKCs are. Until Micro SD Express cards are cheaper than dirt, not to mention digital games aren’t something you own. Granted, I have lots of digital games, but if I can or want to get it physically I will choose to.

I played Fortnite once when the Battle Royale stuff was JUST taking off. It was never my thing. But this really makes me glad I never kept going with the game. Trans rights are more important than an IP whose staying power was stained when its creator turned against many fans.

At this rate, the Switch 2 will be just for Nintendo stuff. Yes, this stuff can still be bought but this Key Card nonsense has really taken any interest out of buying third party games on Switch 2 because I want them physically because I don’t have 1TB+ storage on Switch 2.

Welp, one week and 55 hours later, I’ve finished Pokémon Legends Z-A and I have thoughts. I’ll keep it free of endgame spoilers. Is this game perfect? No. Is it going to be for everyone? Seeing some of the insane responses to Legends Z-A just solidifies my opinion that Pokémon Sword/Shield irreversibly damaged all video game discussion online and I say this as someone who has their fair share of grievances with The Pokémon Company/Game Freak.

I loaded up the Xbox app on my Ally X, pulled up my library and filtered by what I own and can be installed. The only games that I bought on Xbox that come up are Forza Horizon 4, Minecraft, and Monster Hunter Rise. There are a handful of digital games I have on Xbox I can’t play on the PC client.

I’ll be so real, Sonic Frontiers is actually pretty good. If you haven’t sold your Xbox due to everything going on, this is worthwhile.

After playing the demo on Switch 2, this doesn’t surprise me. Though I wonder if it’s just not optimized well. Either way, a shame. Even more of a shame the game doesn’t have a proper physical copy otherwise I would have double dipped.

Well I’ve finished DK Bananza. Very good game! I do feel like character progression was a tad slow as 5 bananas for 1 skill point felt very slow. Boss fights also felt a tad underwhelming, but overall for the first 3D DK game since 64? I really can’t complain with what we got here. 👌

Well there’s no defending it. Based on how they seem to have Mega Stones set up in Z-A, you cannot get them without buying. The Kalos Megas require Switch Online, which has many critics who see the service as not worth it or unnecessary, on top of many casual players not interested in PvP

So that Direct… I have thoughts. Gonna highlight my faves. Good to see some good Mario content for 40th b-day. Wasn’t expecting Galaxy movie tbh but pleasant surprise. Really nice that Galaxy 2 is coming to Switch. Long overdue. Also Mario Wonder S2 edition felt overdue as well. Yoshi looks cute.

This is not a good look for Nintendo. Patenting a gameplay mechanic that while not mimicking Pokemon to a tee, is very prominent in MANY RPGs. Like Palworld isn’t my thing and I disagree with the idea of it being a competitor to Pokemon to an extent, but this was clearly done in spite of Palworld.

I understand this is probably due to current economic conditions, leading to a drop off in adoption from the massive launch sales, but why the fuck would you release a new more powerful system if you’re going to tell devs to just make it for the last system and rely on backwards compatibility?
