Review Preview - While the remaster brightens and cleans up various assets, the original Tales of Xillia was smarter about some background elements staying muted. The reflections in the water are arguably *too* clear and sharp now. The ring sigils they stand on also lose their glow effects.

I know that, professionally, reviews should probably be about half the length I tend to publish them at. Yet I can't help but talk in detail about a game I'm also highly invested in. I want to make sure that people who might be getting into it for the first time have a well-rounded perspective.

Today is Tales of Xillia Remastered release day! A review IS coming but ALSO, advice I can give to new players as early as possible: Do Jude's story first! You get a lot more context and world building through his eyes. Milla's expects you know plot points already, so the pacing can feel jarring.

The real scare this Halloween was finding out what you had to do to unlock this stupid thing. Do not recommend.

There’s just so much to unpack about this game. Man.

I feel these games normally *shouldn't* be compared for the unique, different directions both take. But it's insane how much more there simply IS in Kirby Air Riders. While Mario Kart World has a massive map, it doesn't utilize most of it. Sakurai is showing Mario up with a "less is more" approach.

One of the most fun bits of this Direct was finding out you can switch the voice of the announcer to other languages. Banjo Ginga is the Japanese voice of the NME sales guy and Nightmare in Kirby: Right Back at Ya, while Makiko Ohmoto is the voice of Kirby. You can have *Kirby* be your announcer.

I cannot believe how much is being put into this, this is the Kirby Air Ride game we've dreamed of for years and my heart is full
