6/7 UCS is calling for elected officials, investors, financiers, experts & the public to increase pressure on fossil fuel companies to stop lying and obstructing science-informed policy, pay an equitable share of the costs for climate damages, and advance a fair and fast phaseout of fossil fuels.

5/7 The fossil fuel industry spent more than $150 million to lobby the federal government in 2024. Keep that in mind as we witness the havoc wreaked on the environment and public health by a federal administration captured by fossil fuel industry interests.

2/7 Just 122 companies are responsible for more than 94% of all industrial CO2 emissions since 1959 and 75% since 1981 - time frames in which they had clear scientific evidence that their products were contributing to climate change.
