Last night crossing Logan Boulevard after the light turned green, I literally watched/heard a car rev up to go through the red, then see me and decide to screech to a stop. I pointed at them as I continued to cross to show I’d seen how they almost killed me (they were too far away for me to yell)

i think biking or being a pedestrian in any major city is enough to polarize anyone sane against the idea that driving is an absolute right, especially when you see how many people are on their fucking phones

Going through photos from past trips and wishing I were in Europe right now.

As I post this, there's probably a motorist somewhere in the US driving their car into a building, while elsewhere in the country a person driving their kid to school in an SUV just took mental note of a person on a bike rolling through a stop sign.

Love riding in rush hour traffic, watching an impatient driver decide to drive in the oncoming lane and almost hit two people crossing the street, and thinking about how so many drivers think bicycles are dangerous.

A long delayed errand turned into a nice afternoon on my bike in Chicago.

I like graphic T-shirts . . . on other people. And obviously they're great for riding in—simple. But I finally found one that works for me.

A bike store that shall remain nameless totally redeemed itself with me today. I took in my bike that i bought there last summer because a spoke broke. In 30 years of riding bikes around town, I've never dealt with this issue, let alone with a new bike.

Reading this in Chicago where it’s below freezing and dark for a third of the year at minimum. also in 30+ years of riding I can confidently say the danger is not related to visibility, it’s driver impatience, inattention, and carelessness.

These bike racks are the worst design. I only locked up here because the middle ones were taken when I showed up and I knew I’d only be about 15 minutes. Also no one is going to steal this bike, let’s be real.
