4️⃣ Analyses with modeled indoor noise instead of outdoor noise seem to give the most reliable results. Here we found 6-7% increase in the on-demand administration of drugs for every 10 dB increase in noise exposure. Figure shows indoor and outdoor noise in the clinic during a jet overflight. 3/4

In particular we found: 1️⃣ In additional data from 2022, we found the same results as for the period 2016 to 2021. 2️⃣ We observed good agreement between modeled and measured noise levels 3️⃣ The threshold for effects is around 50 dB (hourly average outdoor noise). 2/4

🆕 Follow-up study on military aircraft noise and medication use in patients of a psychiatric clinic. We tested the robustness of previous findings with additional noise measurements and refined analysis methods. We were able to confirm the previous results. 1/4 journals.lww.com/environepide...
