Okay, some takeaways from the first couple hundred pages of the Catwoman of East End by Darwyn Cooke and Ed Brubaker omnibus that i’ve been reading: I’d say the first hundred pages are an amazing example of visual cartooning, which isn’t surprising since it’s Darwyn Cooke doing the art.

I think it’s interesting starting to see Daniel Warren Johnson’s style influencing contemporary capes comics. I feel like there are a lot of artists now whose line work I see influenced off and on by DWJ in current series. There was a two page spread in a recent worlds finest that had a hint of DWJ
